A Day at the Beach

Okay it was more like an hour and a half. And really it is just a nice sand bar along the Plover River but still it is the Wisconsin version of a day at the beach!

Sam destroying Chris's sandcastle.

That's me in the background. Oh yeah, I put this pregnant body in a swimsuit! HOT!
Sam's first taste of sand.

It was a lot of fun. She didn't like the water as much as I was hoping she would but it was also pretty cold so that might have been it too. She hated leaving and getting all the sand off of everything was not fun but overall it was a great way to spend the post-naptime-pre-dinner section of our day.

Looks like fun! Lily is almost four and this year was the first time she actually got into the water and felt comfortable. She got into all the way up to her chest. The last couple years she would just go in up to her mid-calf and that's it. Hopefully you won't have to wait so long for Sam to get into the water! :-)

But Sam swims in a pool, right? So its probably just the temp, like you said.

Isnt sand lovely? I love when I tip over the diaper bag two days later and a huge pile of sand falls out. Wonderful.
